Cambodia Reinforces Working Group to Monitor Necessity Pricing

Ministry of Commerce has reinforced a special working group to monitor pricing fluctuation of necessity goods in the market, according to local media report.

As cited in the report, Spokesperson at the Ministry of Commerce Ms. Soeung Sophary explained that the working group is not entitled to regulate market prices.

The group, she added, was tasked to monitor changes in production situation and supplies of necessity goods so as to generate reports and propose measures to support production and prices of the goods in Cambodia's market.

The team plays a crucial role that contributes to addressing strong fluctuation of market prices of necessities, such as rice, fish, pork, gas, cassava and more.

The working group has actually been existing for a certain period of time, and the latest move was capacitation and reinforcement of it for more effective service.
