Cambodia, Russia Sign Plan of Consultations for 2022-2024

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation have reached a Plan of Consultations for 2022-2024.

Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister Prak Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and Russian Foreign Minister H.E. Sergey Lavrov signed the document in a ceremony held on Aug. 5, on the sidelines of the 55th ASEAN Ministers’ Meeting and Related Meetings in Phnom Penh.

The Plan of Consultations will contribute to further strengthen the friendship and cooperation between the two countries, underlined H.E. Chum Sounry, Secretary of State and Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

Following the signing of this Plan of Consultations, the two Foreign Ministers issued a Joint Statement, reaffirming both countries’ commitment to promote further the development of long-lasting and time-tested bonds of friendship and mutual support between the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Russian Federation in line with the basic values and aspirations of the peoples of both countries
