Cambodia, Russia Strengthening Military Cooperation

Cambodia and Russia are committed to further strengthening cooperation on military sector between the two countries, according to local media report.

The commitment was the spirit of the meeting between H.E. Gen. Hun Manet, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF) and Commander of the Royal Cambodian Army and Colonel Gen. Oleg Leonidovich Salyukov, Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Ground Forces yesterday in Moscow, Russia.

Colonel Gen. Oleg Leonidovich Salyukov warmly welcomed the visit of Cambodian delegation led by H.E Gen. Hun Manet, stressing that this visit will further promote bilateral cooperation of the two countries’ armies and peoples.

He also reiterated Russia’s stand in contribution to the advancement of RCAF’s human resources.

From his end, H.E. Gen. Hun Manet profoundly thanked the Russian counterpart for their hospitality, and also the Government of Russia for its significant contribution to the development of Cambodia at large.
