Cambodia Seeks More ADB’s Support to Infrastructure Development

Cambodian Senior Minister H.E. Sun Chanthol, Minister of Public Works and Transport, held talks here on Tuesday with Mr. Stephen P. Groff, Vice President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

According to a news release of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, H.E. Sun Chanthol expressed his sincere thanks for the support and cooperation that ADB has directed towards Cambodia’s infrastructure related projects.

H.E. Minister requested further assistance from ADB in areas such as road safety hardware improvement programme; water supply, water sanitation, and sewage system development; modalities on logistics master plan development; and modernisation on public transport (water taxi) to alleviate the traffic congestion in the country.

In reply, Mr. Stephen P. Groff took note of these requests and said that these would be considered for the 2018-2020 ADB support pipeline.
