Cambodia, Thailand Laud Good Bilateral Cooperation on Peaceful Border

The Cambodian and Thai armies have had good bilateral relations and cooperation, especially in maintaining a common peaceful border.

The remark was made during the meeting here yesterday afternoon between Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence, Samdech Pichey Sena Tea Banh and H.E. Gen. Narongpan Jittkaewtae, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army.

Samdech Tea Banh considered the visit of H.E. Gen. Narongpan Jittkaewtae as a main contribution to enhance the cooperation between both army bodies.

Samdech Tea Banh also appreciated the the armed forces’ active support for the government in the fight against COVID-19.

For his part, H.E. Gen. Narongpan Jittkaewtae highly valued the progress of Cambodia in all sectors. He pledged to continue the good cooperation between the Royal Thai Army and the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces in maintaining a border of peace and cooperation.

H.E. Gen. Narongpan Jittkaewtae reiterated his support for Cambodia as the Chair of ASEAN 2022.
