Cambodia, Timor Leste To Boost Bilateral Economic and Trade Cooperation

The Cambodian Ministry of Commerce held here a meeting with a delegation from the National Logistic Centre, Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Environment of Timor Leste, on Tuesday this week.

According to the Ministry of Commerce's news release, this meeting was chaired by H.E. Sok Sopheak, Under Secretary of State for Commerce.

The meeting mainly discussed the framework agreement on Technical and Economic Cooperation and to explore the possibility for bilateral cooperation between the two countries, in particular the impart of knowledge and experience of Green Trade Company to Timor Leste counterpart in the area of institutional arrangement and functions, management, mechanism of buying local products, and export Cambodian rice and other products to overseas markets.

oth sides also discussed the formulation and the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on the Economic and Trade Cooperation as well as the subject of rice trade between the two countries.
