Cambodia To Establish National Logistics Council

The Royal Government of Cambodia will soon create the National Logistics Council, pointed out a news release from the Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPWT).

“The National Logistics Council is scheduled to be established before 2018 in accordance with the Industrial Development Policy (IDP) and the goals of Rectangular Strategy Phase III,” it underlined.

The goals of these initiatives are to reduce the cost of transportation, and make the country more competitive and attractive to foreign investment, it added.

The Term of Reference (TOR) of the National Logistics Council was reviewed in a meeting held here yesterday under the presidency of H.E. Sun Chanthol, Senior Minister and Minister of MPWT, with the participation from the ministry’s senior officials, representatives from relevant inter-ministries, and experts from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
