Cambodia To Host Meeting of APF Cooperation and Development Committee This Week

The National Assembly (NA) of Cambodia is going to host a meeting of the Cooperation and Development Committee, one of the five committees of the Parliamentary Assembly of La Francophonie (APF), this week, on May 3-4 at Sunway Hotel in Phnom Penh.

According to today's announcement of NA, the event will be opened under the presidency of H.E. Pen Panha, Chairman of NA Commission on Legislation and Justice, and Head of the Cambodian parliamentary team for APF, with participation of 40 delegates from 15 APF member countries.

The objectives of the event are to strengthen and expand cooperation among APF member countries, to review past achievements, and to exchange views on the French Development Agency (AFD)'s activities related to sustainable development in Cambodia and the economic cooperation between Cambodia and APF member countries.

Presentations and review of draft report and resolution on corruption as an obstacle to development, use of digital technology in French-speaking zone, impacts of digital revolution on Francophone space, and food loss and food waste will be also among the topics of discussions.
