The Cambodian Human Rights Committee will host the 34th Meeting of the ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights (AICHR) via videoconference from Mar. 30 to Apr. 1, 2022.
The planned meeting was shared in a press release issued on Mar. 28 by the Cambodian Human Rights Committee, at the end of the Assistant Meeting of AICHR.
The Assistant Meeting of AICHR was chaired by H.E. Ms. Long Sonita, Alternate Representative of Cambodia to AICHR and a member of the Cambodian Human Right Committee, and attended by Assistants to Representatives of AICHR, and the ASEAN Secretariat.
The meeting looked primarily into summary records of the Second Special Meeting of AICHR for 2021, the ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (AMM) Interface with AICHR, and the meetings between AICHR and external partners.
The meeting also reviewed the AICHR’s priority projects in promoting and protecting human rights in the ASEAN region.
