Cambodia and Turkey are considering direct flight to facilitate tourism movement between the two countries in the near future.
The intention was shared in the meeting between Cambodian Minister of Tourism H.E. Thong Khon and H.E. Mrs. Ülkü Kocaefe, newly appointed Ambassador of Turkey to Cambodia here in Phnom Penh on Thursday.
During the meeting, H.E. Mrs. Ülkü Kocaefe spoke highly Cambodia’s effort in fighting against COVID-19.
According to H.E. Thong Khon, Cambodia and Turkey have already set up a joint working group for the implementation of a tourism agreement signed in Turkey in 2018.
The two sides also looked into a Green Pass that will facilitate travel, visa application for tourists and travel in both countries.
Cambodia and Turkey also continue the cooperation on tourism human resources capacity buidling and exchange visits between government officials of the two countries.
