Cambodia Welcomes Investment Project of 4PX Express on E-commerce

Cambodia has welcomed and supported investment project of Shenzhen-based 4PX Express, part of the Alibaba Cainiao Logistics Group, to boost cross border e-commerce in Cambodia and create business opportunities for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) for export expansion.

The remarks were made by Cambodian Minister of Commerce H.E. Pan Sorasak while receiving here yesterday afternoon a 4PX Express delegation.

The minister informed his guests about the Ministry of Commerce (MOC)’s efforts to boost e-commerce through speeding up the law-making process on e-commerce, the construction of Cambodia’s business and cultural centres in big cities in China, and the update of Cambodia Trade Integration Strategy (CTIS).

The minister also encouraged 4PX Express to open an office in Cambodia to establish soft infrastructure (human resource training and knowledge transfer) to support the e-commerce’s operation and digital economic development. He also requested the 4PX Express to consider forming partnership with SMEs in Cambodia to showcase Cambodian products like ago products, handicrafts, souvenirs, fresh fruits and food online, especially through Alibaba, the world’s biggest e-commerce company.

4PX Express Founder and CEO Mr. Kevin Yue Li thanked H.E. Minister for his important sharing on e-commerce in Cambodia, and pledged to take part in e-commerce sector development with MOC and RGC through partnership with UNDP and local companies, along with the construction of cargo hub which would allow SMEs to sell and circulate their products to regional and global markets.
