Cambodian Acting Head of State Receives CNNC’s Delegation

A visiting delegation of China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) led by its Chief Accountant Mr. Li Jize, paid a courtesy call on Samdech Vibol Sena Pheakdei Say Chhum, Acting Head of State and President of the Senate of Cambodia, at the Senate Palace on Aug. 8 to discuss investment projects in the Kingdom.

On the occasion, Mr. Li Jize informed Samdech Say Chhum of China’s big investment projects in Cambodia such as the construction of a polyclinic using nuclear power and modern technology in Phnom Penh capital city and Siem Reap and Preah Sihanouk provinces, clean water and electricity production cooperation, mineral resources research cooperation, and harbour expansion cooperation in Preah Sihanouk province.

For his part, Samdech Say Chhum expressed his support to the above-said investments projects, and recommended the Chinese side to send experts to conduct a thorough feasibility study as well as to discuss with Cambodia’s relevant ministries and institutions so as to reach the cooperation agreement and the concrete implementation.
