Cambodian boxer and kickboxer will join the WES event at the People’s Republic of China, according to the President of Cambodia Kickboxing Federation and Secretary General of Cambodia Boxing Federation.

The president H.E. Heng Sokkhorn unveiled the plan in a press conference here in Phnom Penh on Jan. 30.

Cambodia’s participation will not only contribute to further enhancing Cambodia-China friendship, but also serving as a new opportunity to promote Kun Khmer (Cambodian boxing) and kickboxing, he added.

The medallist at SEA Games 2022 in Vietnam Mr. Lorn Panha will join the match with the host boxer on Feb. 3.

Mr. Guo Yang, Chairman of LoongHai Boxing Club, was glad to cooperate with the Cambodian federations to bring Cambodian boxer to compete in China.

That will be a new opportunity for Cambodia to send athlete for the competition in China and the federations are also planning to send Cambodian athletes for another competition in Greece.

In June 2023, four Cambodian athletes will participate in a match in the United States of America and four others in France.
