Cambodian Cheerleading Team Visits Japan

A group of eight Cambodian Cheerleading players and a coach have been on a visit in Japan from Aug. 9 to 8, 2016.

The visit was made under the Sport for Tomorrow Programme of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, said a press release of the Embassy of Japan in Cambodia made public this evening.

The team is scheduled to participate in a training camp organised in Shizuoka by the Foundation of Japan Cheerleading Association, pointed out the press release, adding that the team also is going to participate in the 5th Kanagawa Prefectural Cheerleading Championship to be held on Aug. 14 in Kawasaki City as special participants.

The invitation programme aims to promote the international cooperation and exchange in sports field between Japan and other countries through invitation of a sport coach and athlete as a part of the “Sport for Tomorrow” by the Government of Japan, it said.
