Continuation of internet revolution, acceleration of mobile financial service innovation and e-commerce are keys for the digital economy, said H.E. By 2025, digital revolution may change the daily life in ASEAN. The increase of young population with smart phones has provided the opportunity for ASEAN to create and develop new digital services, especially mobile financial services and e-commerce, he stressed.

The digital economy would be powerful and be a main catalyst for the integration, therefore this is a good reason for ASEAN to consider including digital economy as a prioritised goal, he added.
