Cambodian Delegation Attends the Celebration of 100th Anniversary of ILO

Cambodian delegation led by H.E. Ith Samheng, Minister of Labour and Vocational Training, has been on a visit in the United States of America to attend the commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) within the UN General Assembly on April 10.

According to the ministry’s news release, H.E. Ith Samheng’s participation will also mark the 50th anniversary of the Cambodia’s membership in the ILO.

These events, taking place at the UN’s headquarters in New York, will be characterised by commemorative events and high-level debates.

These debates are an occasion for the employers’ group to reaffirm its support to the Organisation in its unique tripartite structure, and to highlight the hopes and expectations for the second century of the ILO.

After the trip to UN, H.E. Its Samheng will continue his mission to the Republic of Korea to take part in the celebration of the Khmer Traditional New Year with the Cambodian students and migrant workers there.
