Cambodian Foreign Minister To Leave for AMM Retreat in Singapore This Weekend

Cambodia's Senior Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation will lead a delegation to attend the ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Retreat (AMM Retreat) to be held in the Republic of Singapore from Feb. 4 to 6, 2018, at the invitation of his Singaporean counterpart H.E. Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan.

According to a press release of the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation AKP received this evening, as Chair of ASEAN in 2018, Singapore has chosen the theme Resilient and Innovation, which reflects the strong and outward looking process in building the ASEAN Community.

During the Retreat, the Foreign Ministers will take the opportunity to discuss priorities of Singapore's Chairmanship as well as to exchange views on key issues that could pose threats to peace, security and stability in Southeast Asia and to further strengthen cooperation with External Partners.

It is expected that the outcomes of the AMM Retreat will further enhance ASEAN Community Building as well as chart future development for the region.
