Cambodian Lawmakers Support Legal Procedures Against Acting President of Opposition Party

The majority of Cambodian lawmakers agreed with competent authorities to take legal action against Acting President of the opposition Cambodia National Rescue Party H.E. Kem Sokha.

At a session of the National Assembly (NA) held here this morning under the chairmanship of its President Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei Heng Samrin, the 68 lawmakers present voted unanimously to support the legal procedures against H.E. Kem Sokha, also a lawmaker from Kampong Cham province.

H.E. Kem Sokha was summoned by the Phnom Penh Municipal Court twice over a sex scandal.
