Cambodian Leaders Wish “Gong Xi Fa Cai 2022” to Chinese and Vietnamese Communities

Cambodian top leaders have extended their best wishes to the Chinese and Vietnamese communities in the country on their New Year celebrations.
“On the occasion of the Chinese New Year which will fall tomorrow, my wife and I would like to wish all Cambodians of Chinese descent and compatriots a happy Chinese New Year as well as good fortune,” Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, wrote on his official Facebook page this afternoon.

For his part, Cambodian President of the National Assembly (NA) Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei Heng Samrin laid stress on ethnic and religious harmonisation in Cambodia. “Freedom of belief, religion is guaranteed by law. Ethnic and religious harmony in the Kingdom of Cambodia has enabled us to build a prosperous nation and allowed people to live in peace as they do today regardless of their beliefs and religions,” said the NA president in a Facebook post this morning.
The two leaders also appealed for attention to possible fire, respect of traffic rules, and participation to prevent the COVID-19 spread by sticking to the health safety measures guided by the Ministry of Health.
They also wished their compatriots good luck and success from this year 2022 onwards.
