Cambodian Minister of MPWT, U.S. Ambassador Discuss Aircraft Leasing Condition Improvement

Cambodia’s Senior Minister H.E. Sun Chanthol, Minister of Public Works and Transport (MPWT) held talks here yesterday with U.S Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. William A. Heidt on the improvement of aircraft leasing condition in Cambodia, according to the ministry’s news release.

In the meeting, the U.S. diplomat sought for advice from H.E. Senior Minister in regards to the implementation of the Cape Town Convention which can improve the aircraft leasing condition in Cambodia and the potential training programmes on safety and regional connectivity that will be offered by the U.S. for ASEAN participants.

In reply, H.E. Sun Chanthol suggested H.E. Ambassador to discuss this topic with the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation. In addition, he expressed his appreciation to the U.S. for their potential training workshops. He also sought support from the U.S. in improving the country’s road signs in order to improve road safety in Cambodia.
