Cambodian NA President Concludes Official Visits in Laos and Vietnam

High level delegation of Cambodian National Assembly (NA) led by its President Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei Heng Samrin, and his spouse returned home this morning after concluding successfully their official and friendly visits in Laos and Vietnam from June 21-26, 2017.

The delegation was greeted upon their arrival at Phnom Penh International Airport by H.E. Nguon Nhel, Second NA Vice President and many senior officials of the NA General Secretariat as well as Lao and Vietnamese ambassadors to Cambodia.

During his stay in Hanoi, Vietnam on June 23-26, Samdech Heng Samrin attended the 50th founding anniversary of Cambodia-Vietnam diplomatic relations (June 24, 1967) and the 3rd Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam Front Presidium Conference. Besides, he met with Secretary General of the Communist Party of Vietnam H.E. Nguyen Phu Trong, Vietnamese President H.E. Tran Dai Quang and Vietnamese Prime Minister H.E. Nguyen Xuan Phuc, as well as held a bilateral talk with H.E. Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Chairwoman of Vietnamese NA.

While visiting Laos from June 21 to 23, Samdech Heng Samrin paid separate courtesy visits to Lao Prime Minister H.E. Thongloun Sisoulith and Lao President H.E. Bounhang Vorachit, and held bilateral talks with his Lao counterpart H.E. Ms. Pany Yathotou.

The visits were aimed to further foster the traditional and long-lasting ties of friendship, solidarity and cooperation between Cambodia and Laos, and Cambodia and Vietnam.
