Cambodian Officials Extend New Year Greetings to Vietnamese Counterparts

Cambodian officials from provinces bordering with Vietnam have visited and extended New Year greetings to their Vietnamese counterparts, ahead of Vietnam's traditional Lunar New Year festival.

The visits were paid on Jan. 29 by Cambodian provincial authorities of Kep, Svay Rieng and Prey Veng, and Kampong Speu to Vietnamese provincial authorities of Soc Trang, Long An, and Vinh Long, respectively.

According to Vietnam News Agency (VNA), both sides spoke highly of the traditional relationship between the two countries in general and between their provinces in particular, and informed each other of the progress in their respective provinces.

They also reaffirmed their commitment to continue tightening their good relations and cooperation in 2019 and the years to come, especially in building a common border line of peace, friendship and mutual development.
