Cambodian Parliamentary Delegation Returns Home from Visit in Vietnam

Cambodian parliamentary delegation led by H.E. Ms. Khuon Sudary, Second Vice President of the National Assembly (NA), returned home yesterday after paying a five-day official and friendly visit in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

H.E. Chheang Vun, Chairman of the NA Commission on Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, Propaganda and Information, told reporters upon the delegation's arrival at Phnom Penh International Airport that during their stay in Vietnam from Mar. 21 to 25, the Cambodian delegation has met with many leaders of the Vietnamese NA, including its Chairwoman H.E. Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, its Vice Chairwoman H.E. Ms. Tong Thi Phong, Chairman of its Committee for External Affairs H.E. Nguyen Van Giau, and NA Office Chairman H.E. Nguyen Hanh Phuc.

In each meeting, he pointed out, the two sides have expressed their joint position to continue fostering the ties of solidarity, friendship and cooperation between both countries' legislative bodies, and agreed to include the points on young parliamentarians and women parliamentarians in the new agreement on cooperation between the two NAs to be signed in the near future.

Besides, the Cambodian delegation has paid a visit to Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park in Hanoi, VinEco hi-tech farm in Ha Nam province, and Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex and Bai Dinh Pagoda in Ninh Binh province.
