Cambodian Planning Fourth Doses for Frontliners

Cambodia is preparing the 4th doses for the frontline officials and planning measures to prevent the national lockdown, said Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen.
At the inauguration ceremony of the new office building of the General Department of Customs and Excise organised here this morning, Samdech Techo Hun Sen said the COVID-19 pandemic has so far killed more than 3,000 people in Cambodia, but if our national economy fails, it can affect the whole 16 million people.
The Prime Minister continued that more than 3 million people have already accessed the third doses of COVID-19 vaccine, while the fourth doses will be reserved for some 500,000 frontliners.
According to Samdech Techo Hun Sen, the fourth doses for the frontline officials will be Pfizer donated by Australia.
At the same time, he pointed out that 8 cases of Omicron have now been detected in Cambodia, but all are imported cases. He once again appealed to the public not to get into panic.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen reminded his compatriots to stick to the health preventive measures and to get vaccinated against the pandemic.
