Cambodian PM Congratulates his Former Vietnamese Counterpart

Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, this morning sent a congratulatory message to his former Vietnamese counterpart, H.E. Nguyen Xuan Phuc who has recently been appointed as the President of Viet Nam.
“On behalf of the Government and people of the Kingdom of Cambodia and my behalf, I wish to extend my heartiest felicitations to Your Excellency on your appointment as President of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam,” the Cambodian Premier wrote in his message.
“Your well-deserved promotion to this noble position has shown immense trust and confidence that the Communist Party and the people of Viet Nam as a whole repose in your wise leadership. I strongly believe that under Your Excellency stewardship and astute guidance, the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam will make greater social and economic progress toward realising the goal of becoming a developed country by 2045 and continue to thrive as an active player in the regional and international arenas,” he underlined.
While expressing his sincere appreciation to H.E. Nguyen Xuan Phuc for nurturing the traditional bond of friendship and enriching the close cooperation during his mandate as Prime Minister, Samdech Techo Hun Sen expressed his belief that although he and H.E. Nguyen Xuan Phuc are now in different capacity, their rapport will remain strong and continue to catalyse more extensive cooperation between the two countries.
“I would like to reaffirm my strong commitment to working closely with your successor to consolidate our long-standing partnership based on the spirit of good-neighbourliness, solidarity, mutual understanding and mutually beneficial cooperation, especially to overcome the unprecedented challenges caused by the Covid-19 pandemic so as to contribute to peace, stability, sustainable development and prosperity of our two nations, the region and the world at large,” said Samdech Techo Hun Sen.
