Cambodian PM Departs for a Working Visit in Russia Tonight

Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, will leave here tonight for a working visit in Russia from May 17-21, 2016.

“At 9:30 PM, the high level Cambodian delegation and I will depart for Moscow, the capital of the Russian Federation,” said Samdech Techo Hun Sen in a Facebook post this morning.

This is a visit to strengthen the relations between both countries and to attend the 20th ASEAN-Russia Commemorative Summit, he added.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MFA-IC)’s press release, the visit will be made at the invitation of H.E. Dmitry Medvedev, Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.

The delegation will include H.E. Prak Sokhonn, Senior Minister and Minister of MFA-IC; H.E. Aun Porn Moniroth, Senior Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance; and other members of the Royal Government of Cambodia.

During the visit, Samdech Techo Hun Sen will meet with H.E Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation. He will also hold bilateral talks with his Russian counterpart H.E. Dmitry Medvedev and both sides will sign documents to enhance and expand productive cooperation between Cambodia and Russia.

Besides, Samdech Techo Hun Sen will hold bilateral meeting with H.E. Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Prime Minister of Vietnam on the sidelines of ASEAN-Russia Commemorative summit.
