Cambodian PM: Don’t Overlook on Vocational Training

Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen of the Kingdom of Cambodia has encouraged the youth to further pay attention to vocational training.

While presiding over a graduation ceremony of more than 1,700 students of the Institute of New Khmer this morning, Samdech Techo Hun Sen said we cannot look down on vocational training because it is necessary for a nation to have technicians and skillful workers.

“A nation should have technicians and skillful workers, not only doctors or engineers,” he underlined. “If in a hotel or a restaurant there is no professional chef or staff, they are not called hotel or restaurant.”

According to the Premier, currently, Cambodia have not had enough neither technicians nor skillful workers to support the job market yet.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen added that Japanese investors always remind him about the wage of workers, electricity price, and technicians or skillful workers.
