Cambodian PM Gives Directions in Preah Sihanouk Province

Cambodian Prime Minister highlighted directions to ensure continuing social and economic development in Preah Sihanouk province.

Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen made the emphasis in his visit yesterday to the province – another one of his happening mission to see all the provinces across Cambodia.

His key directions include the provision of permanent ownership certification for sellers in the provincial market Psar Leu and land titles to those who have been living in the controversial Poy Kampenh area for a long time already.

Samdech Prime Minister requested the reconsideration of passive investments and investments negatively impact local livelihood as well as sea sand pumping and draining of sewage into the sea causing damages to the beach.

Preservation of forests and fisheries and intimate cooperation with neighboring countries, especially to combat sea crimes such as drug and human trafficking and to avoid confrontation among fishermen are also encouraged.

Economically, according to Samdech Techo Prime Minister, Preah Sihanouk province depends heavily, about 70 percent, on tourism, industrial and transport services.

Preah Sihanouk is Cambodia’s key economic enabler after Phnom Penh capital and Siem Reap province.
