Cambodian PM Meets Vietnamese President

Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen of the Kingdom of Cambodia paid in Hanoi, Vietnam yesterday afternoon a courtesy call on General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and President of Vietnam H.E. Nguyen Phu Trong.

According to the National Television of Kampuchea (TVK), during the courtesy meeting, Samdech Techo Hun Sen congratulated H.E. Nguyen Phu Trong on his election as President of Vietnam.

The Cambodian Premier also briefed the Vietnamese leader on the outcomes of his bilateral talks with his Vietnamese counterpart H.E. Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

For his part, H.E. Nguyen Phu Trong encouraged both sides to do their best to maintain the good relations and cooperation, especially their mutual trust.

The Vietnamese president asked Samdech Techo Hun Sen to convey his greetings to His Majesty Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia and Her Majesty the Queen-Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk, adding that he is happy to welcome their future visit to Vietnam.

In addition, he expressed his congratulations to Samdech Techo Prime Minister on his reelection as Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen arrived in Hanoi on Dec. 6 afternoon for a three-day official visit in Vietnam.
