Cambodian PM Receives New Ambassador of Singapore

Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, met with newly appointed Singaporean Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. Michael Tan Keng Siong at the Peace Palace, Phnom Penh this morning.

H.E. Kao Kim Hourn, Delegate Minister Attached to the Prime Minister, told reporters after the courtesy meeting that Samdech Techo Hun Sen spoke highly of the existing relationship and cooperation between Cambodia and Singapore, and appreciated the establishment of Cambodia-Singapore Cooperation Centre in Phnom Penh which has so far trained many Cambodian civil servants.

The Cambodian premier also expressed his satisfaction with the cooperation with Singapore in terms of economy, tourism, human resource development, and recalled the recommendation of Former Prime Minister of Singapore H.E. Goh Chok Tong about "Open Sky" policy in 1994.

For his part, H.E. Ambassador of Singapore pledged to further deepen the cooperation between the two nations. He also highly valued the peace, security and stability in Cambodia which have, he said, increased confidence among foreign investors.
