Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, this morning said he will attend the state funeral for ex-Prime Minister of Japan H.E. Abe Shinzo to be held on Sept. 27, 2022.

The Premier made the announcement at the conferment ceremony of the honorary doctorate on development to him from the Royal University of Phnom Penh.

On the occasion, Samdech Techo Hun Sen also recalled H.E. Abe Shinzo’s close cooperation in enhancing the bilateral relations between Cambodia and Japan and in boosting the development of Cambodia.

H.E. Abe Shinzo was a Japanese politician who served as Prime Minister of Japan and President of the Liberal Democratic Party from 2006 to 2007 and from 2012 to 2020. He was the longest-serving prime minister in Japanese history.
