Cambodian PM To Attend Two Meetings in China Next Week

Cambodia's Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen will pay a visit to China next weeks to attend the 1st Mekong-Lancang Leaders' Meeting and the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2016.

According to a press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation made public on Thursday, the 1st Mekong-Lancang Leaders' Meeting will take place in Sanya city from Mar. 22 to 24. During the meeting, Samdech Techo Hun Sen will deliver his remarks under the theme "Shared River-Shared Future."

The summit will adopt the Sanya Declaration of the 1st Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Leaders' Meeting, the Joint Statement on Production Capacity Cooperation among Mekong-Lancang Countries, and the Early Harvest Projects for Mekong-Lancang Cooperation, it said.

After the Mekong-Lancang Summit, it added, Samdech Techo Hun Sen will participate in the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2016 with a theme "Asia's New Future: New Dynamics, New Vision" on Mar. 24 in Boao city, Henan province, and deliver his remarks at the Opening Plenary of the forum.

The Boao Forum for Asia is the most important forum for Asia continent because since its establishment in 2001, this forum has played an active role in arranging dialogue platforms for public, private and academic sectors to discuss and exchange views on addressing economic, social, environmental and other most pressing issues, the press release underlined.

Beside the forum, it pointed out, the Cambodian premier will hold bilateral talks with H.E. Li Keqiang, Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China and H.E. Arkady Dvorkovich, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen will be accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation H.E. Hor Namhong, and other members of the Royal Government of Cambodia.
