Cambodian Senate President Highly Values Vietnamese President’s State Visit

The President of the Senate of Cambodia, Samdech Vibol Sena Pheakdei Say Chhum expressed his warm welcome to the state visit of H.E. Tran Dai Quang, President of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam during their meeting here yesterday afternoon.

H.E. Tran Dai Quang re-affirmed the high attention of the Party and State of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam to further deepen the good relations between both nations.

As next year is the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, H.E. Tran Dai Quang hoped that the two countries will cooperate in celebrating the event to show to their people the importance and value of their relationship.

H.E. Tran Dai Quang took the opportunity to invite Samdech Say Chhum to pay a visit to Viet Nam.

In reply, the Cambodian Senate president shared the same idea with the Vietnamese president over the good ties of friendship, solidarity and cooperation between both countries. He also thanked the Vietnamese side for its assistance to Cambodia so far.

Samdech Say Chhum accepted H.E. Tran Dai Quang’s invitation to visit Viet Nam at an appropriate time.
