The Cambodian U23 team this afternoon defeated the Lao U23 team 4-1 in Group B, at the 31st SEA Games 2022 in Vietnam.
The Cambodian team took the lead with the first three goals in the 4th, 14th and 63th minutes by Seang Chanthea, Sar Ty and Ky Rina, respectively, while the Lao side had a chance to score a goal in the 67th minutes to make it 1-3.
In the 71st minutes, Cambodian team scored again by Im Sam Aun, and the match was concluded with 4-1.
Cambodia gained 3 points and temporarily ranked first in Group B, followed by Malaysia, who beat Thailand 2-1. The second match of the Cambodian U23 team will be against the Singapore counterpart on May 11.
