A 20-member delegation of Cambodia Women Entrepreneur Association (CWEA) has brought home outstanding award from the recent ASEAN Women’s Business Conference in Manila, the Philippines.
Speaking at Phnom Penh International Airport upon the arrival of the delegation, Mrs. Keo Mom, CWEA President, shared Cambodian women’s impressive take on business experiences at concept exchange forum along with their counterparts from other ASEAN countries.
Ten Cambodian women entrepreneurs won ASEAN Outstanding Women Entrepreneurs Award as recognition of their contribution to social and economic development through women empowerment and gender equality promotion.
The conference plays a crucial role for Cambodian women entrepreneurs to strengthen trade relations with ASEAN women entrepreneurs.
At the forum taking place from Aug. 28 to Sept. 1, added the president of CWEA, the Cambodian delegates also disseminated Cambodian potential products such as silk and pepper and tourism.
Participation of Cambodian women delegation to the regional conference was made possible through a cooperation between the Ministry of Women’s Affairs and Ministry of Commerce.
