Cambodia’s Agricultural Exports to China Valued at Almost US$2 Billion

Cambodia exported US$1,942 million worth of agricultural products to China from 2019 to June this year, while processes of sanitary and phytosanitary assessment on other crops for eligible export to China are underway.

During the period, the Kingdom exported fresh banana, fresh and dried mangoes, milled rice, cassava slice, cashew nut, cacao flour and so on to China, according to a report from the Chinese Embassy in Cambodia.

From 2019 to June 2022, a total of 2.4 tonnes of agricultural products were exported to China, stated the report.

In the first semester this year, the bilateral trade between both nations reached US$5,985 million, a 19.7 percent increase compared to the same period last year.

China is the biggest market for Cambodia’s milled rice export, accounting for 51.4 percent of the total rice export in the January-June period of this year.
