A campaign of para athletes selection for SEA Games-ASEAN Para Games 2023 hosted by Cambodia has been launched.

The update was shared by H.E. Yi Veasna, Secretary General of the National Paralympic Committee of Cambodia (NPCC) when studying the potential athletes in Siem Reap province on Jan. 11.

H.E. Yi Veasna continued that Siem Reap is the third province for athletes selection campaign, and the first and second provinces are Kampong Speu and Battambang.

The campaign will continue to other provinces across Cambodia in order to select a total of 200 best para athletes and 300 coaches, expert officials, arbitrators, judges and volunteers, he added.

According to H.E. Yi Veasna, for the first three days (starting on Jan. 10) of the campaign, the committee selected some potential para athletes for Basketball wheelchair, Boul and Petanque, Sit-up Volleyball and many other sports for the people with disabilities.
