Canada urges its citizens to avoid traveling to south-eastern Turkey

Canada has urged its citizens in Turkey to refrain from visiting crowded places due to the threat of terrorist attack, Hurriyet newspaper reported March 25.

Moreover, Canada called on its citizens to avoid from traveling to Turkey's south-eastern provinces and its regions bordering Syria.

The country's government has also warned Turkey of the possibility of new terrorist attacks on March 25.

Turkey has faced deadly terrorist attacks in recent weeks.

On March 13, a car bomb attack in Ankara left 36 people dead. Istanbul was also targeted by a suicide attack on March 19, leaving four people dead. Turkish authorities have accused Daesh, the PKK and the PYD terrorist groups for the attacks
