Capital Hall Management Urges Regular Maintenance of Parks and Gardens

As more and more public gardens and parks are being constructed and rehabilitated, the management of Phnom Penh administration called for better maintenance work.

Phnom Penh Governor H.E. Pa Socheatevong made the point in a recent meeting with his line departments here at the capital hall.

The governor reminded competent municipal departments as well as contracted companies to monitor the maintenance of the gardens and parks regularly, including the 42,000 trees there.

He also encouraged more attention on environment and sanitation issues at the public sites, especially the promotion of positive behaviour among the public to contribute to the matters.

The public gardens and parks, he added, do not serve as only recreation areas, but also as product to attract tourists.
