CDC Approves 107 Investment Projects in 11 Months

The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has approved 107 private investment projects located outside the SEZs in the first 11 months of 2021, down 34 projects from the same period in 2020.
According to the Socio-Economic Trends Report of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, approved private investment projects created some 89,000 new jobs, down 20.3 percent.
The total investment was US$1,716 million, a decrease of 72.8 percent from the same period last year (excluding SEZ data), it added.
Most of the approved investment projects were in the industrial sector, followed by the agriculture, energy, services, and tourism.
