Central Banks of Cambodia and Thailand Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation

The Governor of the National Bank of Cambodia H.E. Chea Chanto held a bilateral meeting here yesterday with his Thai counterpart H.E. Veerathai Santiprabhob.

According to the NBC's news release, the main aim of the bilateral meeting was to strengthen and boost more cooperation between the two countries' central banks for sustainable economic growth.

On the occasion, the NBC and Bank of Thailand signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation on Payment and Financial Innovation.

NBC said this MoU will support the cooperation in the development of inter-operation of QR code for safety and efficiency of domestic and overseas payments, and promote the use of national currency and financial innovation in the two neighbouring nations.
