Chief Representative of JICA Cambodia Office Bids Cambodian PM Farewell

Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, received here this morning outgoing Chief Representative of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Cambodia Office, Mr. Itsu Adachi.

According to H.E. Eang Sophalleth, Assistant to the Cambodian premier, in the farewell meeting, Mr. Itsu Adachi expressed his honour to contribute to the development of Cambodia during his two terms of mission in the country (2001-2003 and 2015-2017).

Mr. Itsu Adachi said the most unforgettable moment for him is the inauguration of Kizuna Bridge in Kampong Cham province and Tsubasa Bridge (Neak Loeung Bridge).

In reply, Samdech Techo Hun Sen said the two bridges are not only for the internal connectivity of Cambodia, but also for the regional connectivity in terms of economy, social affairs and development.

Tsubasa Bridge is a historical bridge and Japan’s assistance in the construction of this bridge responds well to Cambodia’s as well as the region’s need, he underlined.

Samdech Techo Prime Minister thanked profoundly the Government and people of Japan for their assistance to Cambodia and asked JICA to continue its technical and financial support to Cambodia in the field of mine clearance
