Chilean Ambassador Pays Courtesy Call on Cambodian Senate President

Ambassador of the Republic of Chile to Cambodia H.E. Christian Rehren Bargetto paid here this afternoon at the Senate Palace a courtesy visit to Samdech Vibol Sena Pheakdei Say Chhum, President of the Senate.

On the occasion, Samdech Say Chhum expressed warm welcome to the diplomatic mission of H.E. Christian Rehren Bargetto which, he believed, will contribute to strengthen and expand the ties of friendship and cooperation between both countries' peoples and legislative bodies at present and in the future.

The senate president informed his guest of the country's potential in tourism and natural resources. He therefore asked the ambassador to encourage more Chilean investors and tourists to do business and visit Cambodia.

Samdech Say Chhum also affirmed the Senate's readiness as well as his own to cooperate with H.E. Christian Rehren Bargetto for the success of his mission.

For his part, the Chilean diplomat expressed his delight to come and fulfill his mission in Cambodia and hoped for cooperation between Cambodian and Chilean Senates.

He said a six-member Chilean delegation will pay a visit to Cambodia to attend the 27th Annual Meeting Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Forum to be held in January 2019 in Siem Reap province.

H.E. Christian Rehren Bargetto presented his credentials to His Majesty Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia, this morning.
