China Helps Improving Capacity of Environment Ministry’s Lab

China has provided technical and financial assistance for the Ministry of Environment, including experimental equipment worth about US$1 million for the analysis of water and environment quality in Cambodia, especially helped the ministry improve the capacity of its laboratory.

While receiving a visiting group of five Chinese experts led by Dr. Wang Dongsheng of the Working Group of Research Centre for Eco-Environmental Sciences (RCEES) of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), in Phnom Penh yesterday, H.E. Eang Sophalleth, Under Secretary of State for Environment, appreciated and thanked CAS for the positive response regarding the above said assistance.

According to the Ministry of Environment's Facebook page, in late February, the ministry and CAS are going to sign a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation on water and environmental laboratory.
