China Provides COVID-19 Medical Equipment to Cambodia

China’s Ministry of National Defence has provided a medical equipment to Cambodia’s Ministry of National Defence to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
The handover ceremony of the medical equipment took place at Phnom Penh International Airport this afternoon under the presidency of Samdech Pichey Sena Tea Banh, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence and Chinese Ambassador H.E. Wang Wentian.
This was another donation of the Chinese government to Cambodia to support the latter’s efforts in combating the deadly COVID-19.
Let alone other COVID-19 medical assistance, as of Nov. 17, China has donated 8.3 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines to Cambodia, while the Kingdom has bought from China 28.5 million doses of vaccines.
During a meeting via videoconference with Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia on Nov. 15, 2021, Chinese Premier H.E. Li Keqiang expressed the Chinese government’s and people’s firm commitment to continue to provide vaccines and other medical equipment to Cambodia to continue the fight against COVID-19.
