Chinese Outnumbered Others for Visitors to Temples in Siem Reap

Chinese outnumbered other international tourists for visitors to temples in Angkor area, Siem Reap province, in 2016 - based on a recent press release by Angkor Enterprise.

Almost 670,000 Chinese tourists, 30 percent higher than the figure in 2015, bought tickets to visit ancient temples in Angkor area.

According to its record, Angkor Enterprise sold over 2 million tickets to visitors last year with an income of around US$62 million, around 4 percent increase.

The enterprise offers three types of tickets - one-day visit, three times of visit valid for seven days, and seven times of visit valid for one month.

South Korea and United States of America stand at the second and third places with nearly 250,000 and 150,000 visitors respectively who bought entrance tickets to the temples.

Angkor Enterprise is using some amount of its income to support Kantha Bopha Children's Hospitals.
