The Cambodian Mine Action Centre (CMAC) will receive this year’s commendation of Japanese Foreign Minister, said a press release the Embassy of Japan in Phnom Penh.
CMAC is recognised by its contribution to the promotion of international cooperation in the technical cooperation field, it explained.
Moreover, it added, two other recipients, namely, Ms. ONI Hifumi, President of International Japanese Culture Institution, and Mr. FUKUDA Tomohiko, Japanese Lecturer are awarded the commendations in recognition of their contribution to the promotion of Japanese Language Education in Cambodia.
The awarding ceremony will be organised in due course, the press release said.
According to the embassy, the Foreign Minister’s Commendations are awarded to individuals and groups with outstanding achievements in international fields, to acknowledge their contributions to the promotion of friendship between Japan and other countries and areas.
