Commerce Ministry Hosts Seminar on Cambodia-Malaysia Business Opportunities

Cambodia’s Ministry of Commerce collaborated with Malaysia Trade and Investment Mission to Phnom Penh to organise here on Tuesday a Seminar on Cambodia-Malaysia Business Opportunities.

According to the ministry’s news release, the seminar’s panelists included a number of Cambodian and Malaysian senior officials and businessmen such as H.E. Pan Sorasak, Minister of Commerce; H.E. Sok Chenda Sophea; Minister Attached to the Prime Minister & Secretary General of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC); Neak Oknha Kith Meng, President of Cambodia Chamber of Commerce (CCC); YB Dato’ Sri Mustapa Mohamed, Minister of International Trade and Industry of Malaysia; H.E. Dato’ Sri Hassan Malek, Ambassador of Malaysia to Cambodia; and YBhg. Dato’ Dzulkifli Mahmud, CEO of MATRADE (Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation).

The panelists have shared relevant and concise information concerning trade and investment between Cambodia and Malaysia in the seminar, in which relevant questions were asked from the audience and responded by the concerned panelists. The seminar was successfully concluded, in which the Malaysian delegation could gain better understanding about the business climate and opportunities in Cambodia. Trade and investment cooperation between the two countries has been further strengthened and would gradually increase in the future.

Besides, the CCC and MATRADE reached a cooperation memorandum of understanding.
