Council for Development of Cambodia, KOICA To Host a Request Survey Workshop for FY 2018

The Cambodian Rehabilitation and Development Board of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CRDB/CDC) and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) will jointly organise on June 30 the Request Survey Workshop for FY 2018 at the Government Palace, Phnom Penh.

The forthcoming workshop will be presided over by H.E. Chhieng Yanara, Minister Attached to the Prime Minister and Secretary General of CRDB/CDC, and Ms. Baek Sookhee, Country Director of KOICA Cambodia Office, said a press release of KOICA AKP received this afternoon.

The purposes of the workshop are to provide information about the Republic of Korea’s development assistance policy and administration procedures for KOICA grant aid projects; and to provide information about how to prepare the Project Concept Papers (PCPs), it pointed out.

As recognised in the National Development Strategic Plan 2014-2018, Cambodia Industrial Development Policy 2015-2025, and other development plans of Cambodia, KOICA supports priority sectors – including rural development, health, human right development and infrastructure, it underlined.

According to the press release, KOICA has been a close partner of the Royal Government and the people of Cambodia for more than 20 years. As friendship and economic partnership between both countries have deepened significantly in recent years, the total volume of KOICA’s grant aid to Cambodia between 1991 and 2016 reached US$203 million.

For the year 2016, KOICA’s estimated grant aid to Cambodia totaled US$23 million.
