COVID-19: 11 New Recoveries with Only a New Case

Cambodia recorded 11 more recovered patients from COVID-19 and only a new confirmed case; bringing the total cured cases and infections to 133,167 and 136,259 respectively, the Ministry of Health pointed out in a press release made public this morning.

The new case is a locally-transmitted Omicron variant, underlined the source, adding that the Omicron tally in Cambodia stood at 15,806, of which 14,456 are Omicron community cases.

At the same time, there is no new death; the death toll in the country thus remains at 3,056.

The first COVID-19 case was found in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province.
